Jolly Harbour, Antigua. We are still here and the three of us have had a very different week.
Andy has been on the boat managing some of the repair work and undertaking some himself, such as replacing the seals around the portholes and having a look at the auto-pilot system.
Ian has been on a seven day RYA course and despite learning a lot and enjoying it, he was unsuccessful in the assessment, as his meteorology let him down. However, this has not dampened his enthusiasm and he will consolidate all his knowledge and skills and re-take the assessment when we return to the UK.
I had a very enjoyable week in the UK, and particularly so in the few days I spent lake district, and now I feel ready for the final part of the trip back home.
Having had a discussion this morning the remainder of the itinerary will look something like this:
- 24th Feb.leave for Saint Martins, and stock up with provisions.
- 1st March. Leave for Bermuda.
- 7th March. Arrive Bermuda.
- 14th March. Leave for the Azores.
- 1st April. Arrive Azores.
- 15th April. Leave for the U.K.
- 2nd May. Arrive Pwllheli.
That’s the intention anyway and all weather dependant of course.
