Noon position 15 50N, 40 24W, day’s run 138, DTG 1139. Overnight we seem to
get stronger winds whilst mid-afternoon they die down, but we are on schedule to
be half way about lunchtime tomorrow. The task tomorrow is to launch a model
yacht we were given in Pwllheli with a message in it. We will be very unhappy if
the yacht arrives in Barbados before us.
Last night, Andy and I watched Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid, a film from
the mid seventies and it was very entertaining whilst Ian and Steve are making
their way through The Railway Man.
The sun is getting to be very intense now and we tend to look for shelter
around noon, and the hammock is proving to be popular place to chill out when
off watch.
The fishing is very poor, although the hook, line and sinker on Andy’s line
had been bitten off sometime last night. The one that got
away. |
