Noon position N, W. We are now sailing from Lanzarote to
Tenerife under main and yankee, averaging six knots and our ETA is 08.00
tomorrow morning. It looks like there is a depression to the north of us with
will be blowing up to a force seven on Thursday/Friday hence our earlier than
intended departure from Lanzarote. All systems seem good at the moment.
We had a good night in Bar One on the marina last night and we presented
our first Sea Spray shirt to the staff for looking after us so well during our
visits to Rubicon Marina.
On Friday our fourth crew member, Steve, will be joining us. Steve is a
full time, sea-going, staff member of a charity I sail with annually. The
charity is the Ocean Youth Trust (Scotland) and in the last few months Steve has
successfully passed his skipper’s assessment so congratulations to him and we
are looking forward to four or so weeks he will be with us.
Finally, a happy birthday to Andy’s mum, Chris. Hope you have a good
one! |
