Position 28 58N,13 52W, Marina Rubicon, Lanzarote. Yesterday we had a guided tour of about two hours around Ilhas Selvagem Grande with the warden, who spoke no english, and to make himself understood he had to use sign language.I think we comprehended most of what he had to say about the nature reserve, and the rest was explained by the visiting biologist who was studying the resident shearwater population.
At about 2pm, we left the island and had an excellent sail to Lanzarote arriving at 1030 this morning. We continue to ‘fine dine’ and had mince and tatties, Bozsun style, yesterday evening and very good it was to.
Our thoughts are now beginning to centre around the atlantic crossing, and we have a lot of jobs to, provided the water maker starts behaving itself but for the rest of today, I think shore leave is the order of the day!
