Noon position 28 44N, 14 14W. (Twenty miles from Rubicon Marina,
Lanzarote). The last thirty or so hours have been a bit bumpy as we have motored
into the wind and waves and Andy and I are looking forward to reaching the
marina now. As predicted, the remaining chicken was eaten last night, and very
tasty it was to.
When I went to take over from Andy this morning he looked very pleased with
himself. Ever since leaving Pwllheli, we have noticed a rattle within the main
mast and for those who sleep close to it, it can be a source of irritation. We
have always promised to look into it but have failed to turn intention into
action, until this morning. It seems Andy’s patience had worn out and so he
peeled the cover off the part of the mast within the boat and he found some duck
tape on the mast. On peeling this off, an inspection hatch was revealed and the
source of the rattling was dealt with. No wonder he looked right smug with
himself, but well done nonetheless!
Warrington F.C. have a big game tonight in the F.A. cup and so we wish them
well and hope that we will be able to watch it somewhere within he marina
complex. |
