Noon position 25 09N, 24 53W. Day’s run 91 miles, DTG 2120. The sailing
over the past twenty four hours has been a bit disappointing and we are still
waiting for the tradewinds to kick in to help us on our way. At the moment
though, we have a 20 to 25 knot wind from the east and if it backs a bit to the
north perhaps this will be the start of some pleasant sailing as Ian is outside
hand-steering in full oilies due to the rain.
Andy and I watched Sherlock Holmes last night (the version with Jude Law as
Doctor Watson) and it was a very refreshing take on the Arthur C. Doyle
characters. Steve is working hard on watch but is also making the most of his
down time especially when the sun shines.
Unfortunately, I have designated tomorrow as boat-cleaning day but if the
winds are still blowing as they are, I think we will be better employed sailing
the boat.
We hope you have a great weekend.
