We made our final journey to the hospital yesterday and Anita now has had her stitches removed. Its still and ugly sight and will need bandages for protection for some time to come. We are however now cleared to leave the tender ministrations of the wonderful A & E unit at Gibraltar hospital. They have been absolutely wonderful and are remarkably prompt with their appointment system considering how busy the place is. Maybe the UK national health could take some pointers from them. Anita was a bit queasy after the stitches were removed so we had a lazy day on board Osprey and a pleasant dinner at one of our quayside café’s. We are hoping that we can get up to see the tunnels finally today and then this afternoon we will get the boat ship shape ready for the trip across the Straits and back to Smir. The weather forecast today is not great so we are hoping for an improvement on Sunday. We will effectively be single handed as we will have to keep Anita’s hand protected and will therefore need to make sure we have everything planned in advance especially for the berthing and un berthing. We plan to leave at about 0930/1000 and with a four hour trip and Morocco 2 hours behind us we should be there well before lunch. We are also hoping to get time to visit the markets in Tetuan either Sunday afternoon or Monday and Anita will head off for her flight from Tangier at about lunchtime on Tuesday, leaving John to sort out the boat which should be lifted out on Friday.
