Position at 1800 Zulu on the 24th Nov 2007. To quote Smitty, "We are smoking along", having logged 220 miles in our days run yesterday and with the speedo running around ten knots. This will not last as we get further south but it is nice to be covering the ground quickly. Smitty made an enourmous breakfast this morning and I guess non of us will require feeding until last this evening. We are working 4 hour watches wigth Mitty on the 12 to 4 and Sean on the 8 to 12. The sea temperature has now climbed into the 80's F and and air temp in the high 20's C. Lots of sargasso around now even though we have headed east of our rhumb line in the hope of tracking the trades back into Antigua. Total distance is just of 1000 miles so we have already made a fair dent in the passage. Smitty has flights locked in so if necessary we will use the engine should we loose the wind.
