We have had some good initial sailing, albeit not quite in the direction we
were looking for. We are making good a course of north and have averaged
over six knots since our departure. The weather looks a little confusing
ahead as we have a stationary low off to our north east which might produce
northerly winds for us. In that case we will head a little to the east and
pick up some ground in that direction. Both Kuki and Charles are now finding
their feet and starting to eat - always a good sign. The boat is performing
well with no real problems. It looks as though we might start to loose some
of the trade winds shortly mainly as a result of the stationary low ahead.
The winds have already eased off this evening and as Kuki put it much easier
to go to the loo. Everyone was please to receive an email from Aunty Sylvia
and to get the tennis results from Anita.
