Today was one of the best days of the trip because many things happened
today. We all woke up very happy as today was Ani?s 50th birthday! We
gave her cards and gifts, which included a badge that read ?nifty fifty?,
a nighty that said the same and a grow your own birthday cake. Then we
went up on deck and ani used the satellite phone to call kuki, and when
she did she found that her mum and dad were with kuki, so she talked to
them and they all said happy birthday. Soon after we went shopping and we
spent half the time in a shop named planet toys, but only because the
slogan was ?you are never too old to play?. Then when we returned to
osprey we set sail for what was going to be the funniest sailing trip of
them all. We started and john tested the autopilot and realised he had
wired it backwards, so left was right and right was left. Then we tryied
tacking, aisha and I had already done this before so anish and ria tried.
It went well till the boom swung across and ria lets go of the rope and
covers her eyes with her hands leaving anish to do the work by himself.
All this time aisha had been fishing and then when she was asked to reel
in the line she screams, ?ahhhhhh rishi help I caught a fish I caught a
fish!? Then she threw the rod at me and shouted, ?take it off take it
off!? So then anish grabed it and threw it back.
After returning we went out on the RIB for a ride because there were some
huge waves, after we came back and played cards, and then went to ani?s
birthday dinner at the Quarter Deck pub. Here aisha and I ate our first
five course meal of the trip which was half a rack of ribs between us and
many buffalo wings, and then I had a great chocolate chip cheesecake and
aisha had ice cream. But all this was nothing compaired to what anish ate
which was pretty much half a cow! He had a 16 oz steak and chips as well
as a desert!!!! After having lots of fun at the restaurant we went to the
RIB, then disaster struck, it was pitch black and we had no lights, then
john said ria should drive!!! However much to our amazment she did it
perfectly. We returned, played caards and went to bed.
