We arrived off Turtle Cove Marina in Provo at 0900 on the 9th
but being a Sunday there was no sign of life. We eventually raised them on the
radio at about 1130 and they sent out the pilot boat to guide us through the
reef. This is our second time here and when coming north we had touched the
bottom on the way in but his time we had a minimum of 1 ft of water under the
keel. Customs came down and cleared us soon after arrival which then enabled us
to take on duty free fuel to top off our tanks. The main engine was as
economical as ever and when motor sailing was only using 1.2 US gallons per
hour. Today Jonathan and Finn are going to take advantage of our unscheduled
stop to hire a car and have a look around the island. We will leave as soon as
the pilot boat is available on Tuesday morning. We had a pleasant dinner at the
Tiki Hut yesterday evening and we have been invited to a BBQ by a family from London this evening.
