We had our first really good day today with calm seas and a reasonably steady 15 knot wind for our short ten mile sail from Deshaies to Pigeon Island and then into and adjacent bay and to anchor. We had a look around the foreshore but couldn't stretch to a meal as we had no Euros and USD would not work. Trust the French! The rest of the Leeward Islands all use a common local currency which is interchangeable with the USD. Again this is a very picturesque spot and full of diving clubs/schools/tour diving and of course very French. The anchorage is a little exposed and open to the swell so a little on the rock and roll side. Anita has decided that we have to visit Iles des Saintes tomorrow and we are hoping that we will get a repeat of today's weather.
