5th November. Position is at 0200Z. Winds light and variable and unsailable. We are currently motoring and varying course to mitigate rolling in a beam swell. For Bobs info heading generally for waypoint 2. A thoroughly frustrating day with light airs which eventually went aft until they dissapeared and we started to motor. We are moving along at our economical and budgeted speed minimum of 6 knots. We are in contact with Lions Whelp which is astern and to the north of us but is travelling at flank speed so will catch us during tomorrow. Our courses are now converging as we approach the Gulf Stream and the temperatur is starting to rise wth a perfectly clear night in the centre of a high pressure.. Tomorrow looks like being a difficult day with a vicious front comming through which will produce 30 knot head winds and 10 to 15ft seas.
