Today was a less active day but still a very productive one. We started
by sleeping late and having cereal in the morning. After Aisha, Anish amd
Ria used the R.I.B. to go to the shore and take a shower, meanwhile I had
the most fun I have had all trip. I sat on the mast winch chair (or
wegginattor) and was pulled up to the top by John and I repaired the
radar reflector, which fell off yesterday after we opened the sails.
After john and I checked the oil and that was when disaster struck, the
same problem which had delayed us in the first place had returned, and we
had more water in the oil! John quickly radioed the marina and we went to
the quay so that an engineer could take a look at the engine room. All of
us apart from John decided to get out of the way of the engineer and
walked into the town centre to go shopping! We walked into a shop where
Ani bought some clothes, this was all too tiring and therefore we went to
look for the nearest restaurant to get a drink and a bite to eat! At only
about half 11 this was quite an early lunch, but nevertheless it was not
early enough for Ani to have a Gin and Tonic (which she had been craving)
and for Ria and I to have a lovely chicken caeser wrap, while Anish and
Aisha shared a plate of Fruit. Cheese and crackers. After this brunch we
carried on with our shopping and headed to the souvenir shop once more,
in here we all bought presents, and I bought a pair of lobster slippers.
After this we went to numerous shops where we bought more and more
things. Ria and I also bought two huge ice creams and ani bought a ice
coffee. When we returned we took the boat out for a test drive and all
seemed good. Soon we had our first dinner on board the boat which was a
variety of Indian curries. Then we watched a film and went to sleep. We
are getting used to waking at 5 and going to bed at 9.
