Seas better in the morning, great sail nearly to Cherbourg (at least the tip of Cotentin Peninsula), tacked over to Alderney with very helpful tide. Moored in Braye Harbour 15.00.

Robbie dropped Doug and Jasper off on the pontoon as they went to spend time with Stephan, a friend from school who lives on Alderney. The new, to us, dinghy (Compass, inflatable floor and keel) is much smaller than the old RIB but can be deflated and stored in a largish bag. Getting the RIB aboard was challenging, and it took up the whole foredeck. The old two-stoke Tohatsu 9.8 HP outboard is unnecessarily powerful for the dinghy, but it works OK, although the dinghy is less stable when you stand in it and try to get the OB down off the boat! Went ashore for a drink in the pub, then early night.
