Left the kids sleeping, and went in for café & croissants in town. There had been riots in Martinique & Guadeloupe a few weeks earlier, and this was confirmed by a local who, when asked where a well know yacht chandlers was, said it had been burned down during the manifestations. I asked if they had been serious, the answer: “mais non, pas du tout”.

Bought a couple of slices of kingfish from the guy who had caught them, the whole little fishing dock was quite atmospheric, with pelicans eating the bits of fish thrown away.
