Our trusty driver Yassim drove us South from Tetouan to Chefchaouen. This beautiful Berber village/small town in the mountains is famous for its white and vivid blue-washed houses with hardly a level street in the place. We had lunch and bought the inevitable souvenirs in the touristy but friendly shops. At least there were artisans punching brass salvers, carving stone and working leather. We went back to the boat at Smir, and checked the engine which wouldn’t start.
