Early departure to Martinique, Force 5-6 reach across the sea, then a fetch / beat up the bay to Fort de France. A windsurfer called a very calm Pan Pan on his VHF saying he had been in difficulties for over an hour, and would somebody help, which they did in no time. I suppose it was a Panne Panne. We anchored right under the fort, a beautiful spot. Good walks ashore, tried to visit a French warship which looked like a stealth bomber (all very anti-radar), but were too late for the last tour. The supermarket was fantastic after what we’d seen before, full of French cheeses, charcuterie, wine and bread. We stocked up well. 35 miles
