As can be seen from the previous entry, the automatic position reporting facility is now functioning, so our position should now appear on a daily basis.
We have wi fi here in Gijon, so some photographs covering the trip since Ali left on 29th June have been sent separately. However not a very good wi fi connection, so not many photos.

We put in a long day on Friday, in the face of an unfavourable forecast for the weekend, and made 61 miles west from San Vicente de la Barquera, mainly by engine into a fresh westerly wind. The previous night was spent alongside the wall in San Vicente, a small fishing port, where we went ashore for an excellent fish supper in a restaurant that Roger remembered from a visit in 1970. Just as good the second time apparently.
Arrived in Gijon at nearly 9pm, and eventually ashore to eat at about 10pm. Still one of the first in the restaurant, and great activity still going on when we retired at around 1am.
A day of odd jobs on Saturday, and a look around Gijon. As we returned onboard at half past midnight, having just finished dinner, the entertainment was just beginning ashore.
Visited Oviedo on Sunday, making use of the remarkably cheap and regular rail service, and enjoyed the medieval city centre and the excellent art museum.
Hoping for better weather on Monday to resume our westerly progress on to Aviles, where Roger will leave us on Tuesday morning.
