Grey and overcast day, set off under engine in a light force 1/2 breeze.
Finally sufficient to sail at 1300, but within the hour had increased to
force 5, giving us a beat to windward in showery rain with an increasing
sea.Gusting up to force 6 before moderating a little to allow us to make the
entrance into San Vicente at 1900. Secured to the port wall next to all the
fishing boats, and went ashore for dinner. Not the ideal first day for a new
arrival, but Roger survived with sense of humour intact, and we are 37 miles
further west.
Friday morning bright and sunny, destination Ribadasella.
