Now at Les Sables d'Olonne after a brisk sail
yesterday from Isle d'Yeu. In a moderate wind in the SSW we were able to lay Les
Sables d'Olonne on the starboard tack but once south of the Isle de Yeu
encountered a largish swell from the NW. This no doubt generated by the
depression that seems to be lingering over Wales at present, please get rid
of it! On to the Isle de Re tomorrow and then La Rochelle to pick up Ali on
Sunday.
