Sunday 5th April - As of midnight day-2 we were at position 5:49.78N 80:59.06W

Day 2 bought with it plenty of wind and some wonderful current’s, infact Silky was looking at setting a new record as we were averaging 6.6Knots over ground only to become completely becalmed by 6PM. Oh well, we hove to and just bobbed around in the doldrums waiting for wind.

It was the first time I have every hove to, which means backing a sail over the other to effectively stall the boat in the water. To be honest we did not really need to as the sea was so flat infact it was a lot more comfortable than many marinas and anchorages I have stayed in. A couple of times during the night I got up to check if the wind had came up and not a thing.
