Day 4 - Brixham

Silk Sheets
Ben Shute & Fiona Kennelly
Wed 23 Jul 2008 20:44
We slipped off our visitor buoy at 5:15AM Wednesday the 23rd July and ended
up in Brixham Marina 50:24.02N 3:30.51W

The day started early once again to make the most of the tide. The minute I
had finished my eggys and soldiers with vegemite I hoisted the kite to
capture every last breeze of wind of the 10 Knots we had. However this only
lasted for about an hour and after another cup of tea I poled out the front
sail and goose winged the kite and jib on a dead run and then blew at the
thing to make our over laden home move.

Fiona the chief navigator decided Brixham would best place Silky for the
evening and a great decision it was to be part of Brixham week where the Red
Devils jumped out of a plane and did there thing in to the marina we moored
at.

The minute we arrived after a day in the sun we washed the boat down and did
the marina things you do only to be welcomed with a £35 pound bill for the
privilege to moor up, well that definitely did the days budget in one go....

More importantly back to fishing trawling along with my lure today bought me
no joy either, you would think after 9 hrs and 30 Kt miles I would get at
least a bit. I want to go back to speak with the bastard that told me she
was a sure thing. I must have had sucker written all over me.
