We winched up our anchor to find an old bit of fishing net stuck to the end which I cut off on Monday 22nd September at 7:24AM and sailed off towards Sines 37:57.1N 8:51.96W

Sines if a large commercial harbor with a small inner harbor where Silky bedded down for the night in a lovely little spot.  It was also the home of Vasco de Gama the first man to discover the sea route to India many years ago, you can see him facing westward over looking the Atlantic in one of my picture’s.

Sines is also the last safe harbor before Saint Vincent point 60 mile south of it.

Special comments by Fiona:. Pretty uneventful time in Sines, which we stayed for one night.  I’m trying to take as many sunset shots as I can.  Don’t think I can get enough of watching the sun set over the ocean.
