We woke up very late after the towns festivities went on for most of the night. Alex and Yollanda had to get back to Barcelona for work so Fi and I decided it was time to leave. We slipped our lines Tuesday 2nd September at 13:40PM and sailed off headed for Camarinas a small fishing port however due to the wind on the nose we were not going anywhere fast and we were definitely not enjoying it so we turned Silky around and headed back in to a fishing port about 3 Knt Miles from the last, Laxe 43:13.25N 9:00.06W

It was not much fun sailing out for over 18 Miles and having to turn around to head back to where we came from but better safe than sorry I guess. The stupid thing is that our destination was only 11 Knt Miles the way the crow fly’s from where we left from and after 3 hours we were getting no closer.

The fishing harbor we sailed into had already begun to fill up with other yachts taking refuge from the SW wind and by the end of the evening we were one of seven. As per usual a French boat anchored right on top of us setting off Fiona’s boat rage as he floated back about 3 feet from our bow. After we shoed him away like a blow fly he managed to get him self right in the middle of Silky and a Swedish boat on our port side.  I just have trouble understanding why they do it, the harbor had plenty of room.

We cooked ourselves a light meal and watched a couple of classics in the comfort of our floating home while the wind howled and the rain came down. It is always a compromise trying to get Alien vs. Predator on the flat screen and this night I was no exception and instead we settled for Robin hood the prince of thieves and then the late night movie was Dirty Harry. How wonderful it was. A much needed break from the busy festival in Corme

Special comments by Fiona:. The photo’s accompanying this entry were taken in Corme on the tour that our friend Jaquim took Yolanda and I on.  I don’t think the photo’s really do the place justice as it really was amazing.  As Ben mentioned it was so nice to have a quiet night at anchor watching dvd’s after the party time we had in Corme.
