We slipped our ropes
from our mooring 9th November at 08:54 and headed for Peurto Del
Rosario, Feurteventura, Canary Islands 28:29.75’N 13:51.53’W. We had met back up with
our Aussie mates from Gib and sailed in company. Special
comments by Fiona: I was happy to leave Peurto Calero, not
because it was a bad place – quite the opposite, but because we’d been there
for well over a week working each day on the boat once again. The list of
fixing and modifying the boat just seems to grow and grow! We started the day off
with a lot of wind which was fantastic. But it soon died on us and we were
forced to motor the whole way to make it to the next We sailed in company
with our fellow Aussie friends, T Rex. Their boat goes a lot faster than
our’s, so they were moored up and settled in by the time we arrived. We rafted
up alongside T Rex and were welcomed by a cooked dinner by So at 10:30pm Ben was
fixing the broken pipe to stop more water flooding in, whilst I helped by
getting the water out. All I can say is at least this happened now rather than
mid Atlantic, which would mean no water in the tanks! Day 109 Destination – Puerto De
