 Mojo to Fiji Blog 3
We are well on our way now and know that we will not be turning back as the winds are settling in to a very definitive trade wind pattern that just drives us forward, even though light this afternoon the winds turned light and we ran the engine, well it gives us free hot water.
Lesley announced yesterday that the rudder may be falling off this was bourn by the squeeking noise coming from that direction, I said that I did,nt think it was but would investigate, after removing the panels above the top bearing I showed hr that two teflon services where rubbing together, and with a gallon of WD 40  put the noise to sleep, it was actually only 3 drops and for the officianados who want to tell me that you should never use WD on teflon please leave the page, the new engineer was satisfied with my actions and thats where I get my food from so no complaints.
After 15 months in and around Papeete and the Society Islands the intense heat had not prepared me for the ocean nightime temperature it was a big drop and I am now wearing a long sleeved breathable top with side ventilation, a lightweight fleece, sailing leggings under cargo long shorts, a gortext cycling jacket much like a sailing jacket but lightweight with lots of pockets and dynamically shaped so I can dodge rain, finished of with socks sailing shoes breathable and drainable, and to top that my Henry LLoyd winter hat, now theres a bit warmer through the night and to keep the heat in just about to boil water and poar it into a hot chinese noodle soup, my 02:00 snack.
We are now sailing to our second mark which we should reach around 14:00 when we will turn North West heading towards 16 degrees, until then just a small explantion on what happened to the blog !!!!!!!!!!!!!! We use a notebook for our iridium communications because it is stripped bare of programmes and files and only operates the mailasail stuff, no one is allowed to touch it, because of this and the reason that Arthur Negus built it pre 2008 and the fact that it regularly changes the date to pre 2008. The blogs are on the mailasail website but much earlier than the latest blog, if you scroll back you will find them, so just try to think outside the box sometime. In the meantime I will copy and paste them into realtime and sorry to Arthur.

For ease of finding I am calling them by number Mojo to Fiji blog with date, the position is always taken from the previous 16:00 log for those tracking and I am trying to set up a daily position txt to phone.

Mojo is coasting through the night with a code zero, technical speak for a f$#$ing big headsail and full main wind 8.5 to 12 knots, Goodnight.
