We knew our land-based crew would not let us down and the SMS message came through on Monday morning telling us we had minutes on our account, again.
I can only apologise, and all crew members will be fully compensated to the amount that they have spent on Alcohol since departing Galapagos exactly Nil.

Due to the fact that our speed has increased, we lost the big one this morning, no sooner had we hooked in and the line was screaming than the top started to bend, bang signified that we had lost lure and line complete, luckily the rod was hooked on as a safety device. Its difficult to slow a yacht quickly when the pace is on, so we have decided not to fish at this rate.

Our fresh food has lasted well but yesterday the bread situation ended, and the last sandwich was eaten remorsefully, but fear not we have the portable baker in the cupboard so Big G donned his apron and started up the cauldron. As we speak the first loaf is baking with our dinner, we are multipurpose chefs, or should that be porpoise……………………never miss an opportunity for a bad joke.

We have on board a massive collection of music on an iPod that Paul brought a range of 4300 songs is available which we played through our boat music system, I say played, someone who will remain nameless pressed the mute button which has stayed in place since the misdemeanour, luckily back up speakers are available. We both have  listened to different genres of music and have today focused on 8 Mile by Eminem; Paul now knows all the words to Obie Trices Adrenaline Rush.

We are now into the last phase of the journey and have at time of writing  830 odd miles to go, our hope is to arrive during daylight and we will adjust our eta  accordingly so we enter the harbour in Nuku Hiva with full daylight and hope for a favourable spot in which to drop the pin.
