As our supposed last night of this voyage approaches, we have mixed emotions on board, over the last 24 hours a whirlwind of News has come in and some of it very positive.
First the 34 - 38 boats from the ARC who are about 2 weeks behind us have been told to go straight to Tahiti park their boats and leave to the country they came from, ARC cancelled for 12 months.

There is talk of one rouge boat in Nuku Hiva we wonder if it is the same boat that arrived and left early in the Galapagos, we will have to wait and see.
Thanks, Oliver Machell, for the detective work on our behalf, we will arrive in Nuku Hiva approximately a half hour before dusk this is both planned and by chance as its Sunday and officials tend to take a weekend. so, we will be in line for a good night’s rest before finding out what our fate is to be …………………or not, Paul fetch the banquettes for breakfast. Don’t worry we will  clear first.

We are governed to the charge to the end by wind sea state and good old diesel fuel, the wind forecast is due to subside and only give 6 to 8 knots of wind which isn’t sufficient in our quest to arrive before dark, sea state is moderate but the swells are rolling us about and reducing our path through the water, we have been conservative with our fuel and hold enough in reserve for a push at the end so lets stay positive and load the freezer with beer.

We just heard that Lesley is on her final flight of the week, Dubai to Gatwick and then it’s the slow coach to the Potteries, it’s a bit like the Priory but for people who have overdosed on travel, we are sending her to the Curtain Factory where she will be looked after by Terry and Annie who will be her new carers, Annie is under strict instructions not to take her near the baggage department of any stores they may visit. We don’t want a relapse and hope that she will soon be FTT…………….

Well guys another day in the Ocean as its Saturday its curry night and I must say the meal was delicious, all credit to the Chef on board and it’s certainly not me.
150 Nautical miles to go let’s see what tomorrow brings.
