Through the passages of the islands I saw no one no birds no boats, in fact I didn’t see a boat for 6 days was really eery only as I departed the last 2 islands could I make out the palm strewn strips of sand next to the reef well they are 8 miles away.

Its now Monday and the last leg of the journey, I don’t know what I expected but there have been no surprises that I expected being without crew, the mind set has to change and you have to force yourself to slowdown so that you are not burning energy all the time.

I sounded a bit burnt out yesterday so I thought I would fix that with a Sunday breakfast of bacon eggs and grilled tomatoes, well fried actually it sounds healthier and at the other end of the day roast beef carrots onions and potatoes with gravy straight out of the pressure cooker after 12 minutes, that will do nicely. Just in case you are interested in a light lunch olive biscuits and cream cheese as bread and baguettes are finished.

Now settled in for the night watch and planning eta Tahiti which will probably ridiculous o’clock so have decided there is a very good anchorage at Point Venus which isomewheres confirmed by a number of sailors right on the north tip of Tahiti where yachts wait out the night before entering the channel to Papeete Marina. So, see you tomorrow somewhere.
