Sun shining warm boat back to normal and storming along yesterdays average at midday was 7.4 knots of boat speed which makes things happen sooner and one of the highlights of any passage is the halfway mark, due tomorrow am 1535 or thereabouts, we will let you know when the distance to waypoint DTW and the trip, distance travelled exactly match.

Today was also the day of put things right on the boat, checking all the lines fittings and wear points for damage or chaffing, always a good idea and it stops things like sails from falling out of the sky.

Back in blighty the Admiral is busy sorting her weight out, not personally……… however with all the trinkets and gold she will be carrying for Mojo  it’s not easy with all the different weight restrictions and cabin baggage imposed by the clueless, when  the end of the journey arrives overhead locker space will be big enough to accommodate a mini iPad and a tube of lipstick.

I have just heard that for 60 $ you can get a helicopter ride from Nuku Hiva airport to downtown.
Now that’s the way to arrive, and here’s the way to say aurevoir, Goodbye, must get the French vocab out before landfall  as they speak French in French Polynesia, well they would wouldn’t they.
