We apologise to our regular readers of the blog for the abrupt lack of any more entries last summer.

Having reached Vigo, we spent several wonderful and relaxing weeks exploring the Rias from Ribeira in the north to the Isles Of Cies in the south.

Flinesse was lifted out of the water at the end of September and remained ashore for the winter at Punta Lagoa, just north of Vigo. We were particularly pleased by the service offered by the marina staff and will leave the boat in their charge next winter

We took the ferry to Spain at the beginning of May to anti-foul and polish prior to relaunching. We then had a couple of weeks cruising in sunny conditions while folks back at home suffered almost continuous rain.

We then drove back home in preparation for Helen and Andy’s wedding which was a totally splendid affair and we then looked after our grandson Daniel for a week so that his mum and dad could spend the first week of their honeymoon on their own.

We have now flown back to Vigo in preparation for a passage out to Ponta Delgada in the Azores.

We are looking forward to welcoming on board Terry Godfrey, a member of our Sailing Club, for the leg out to the islands which should take about 8 days.
