Rendezvous at Le Crouesty

Too much wind; wind right on the nose; not enough wind!  These are the normal complaints you will hear from yachtsmen like us.
Yes you’ve guessed right.....the wind has now virtually disappeared.
We had to complete the final 35 miles by engine, to join up with the rest of the flotilla at Le Crouesty .
The temperatures have soared, to the extent that it is painful to walk on the deck with bare feet and we have had to break out the windscoop to increase ventilation. The last time we used it was in the Caribbean in 2007!
Most of the British boats have been dressed overall, which means they have hoisted bunting from the top of the masthead and rigged fore and aft.
 
Our French hosts have organised a cocktail party for this evening ( Sunday) before they ceremonially lead us up the Golfe du Morbihan, a large inland sea, to their Yacht Club at Vannes tomorrow.
