Left Sines early in the morning using the prevailing ' nortade ' wind which increases dramatically as the day progresses. By the time we rounded Cape St Vincent it was gusting to 30 knots.

We decided to spend the rest of the day at anchor in a pretty little bay tucked up just under the cliffs just beyond the Cape. We had a very comfortable and restful night in a picturesque and spectacular setting. Next morning after telephoning our daughter Jenny to wish her happy birthday, we continued to Lagos, arriving just in time for lunch. We met up again with several people who were with us on last year's on Rally Portugal and are now based here in the Algarve. We now plan to have a few days off in this popular resort.
