Just a quick Update to say we have flown back to Spain for a family visit. Our final trip this season was from Puerto La Cruz to Medregal Village. Normally we sail alone, but this time we were accompanied by our friends Peter and Sylvia aboard their Nic 32 Tradewind. We decided on a relaxing trip, anchoring overnight in Occult Bay, then onto Mochima the following day to anchor off the village and grab a meal ashore.

The next day we sailed to Laguna Grande, took a walk ashore and a dinghy ride around the anchorages, then all aboard Chaser for sundowners.

The following day we raised the anchor and sailed across the Gulf of Cariaco to Marguitar. Although we've been in the area a long time we've never anchored off here. What a mistake, it's a beautiful anchorage. There is a club/bar/restaurant ashore where you can dine in comfort overlooking the beach and the anchorage. The food and service was excellent as were the prices. We'll certainly go there again. I did have a couple of photos but somehow I've managed to lose them.

We had intended to lunch further East the next day but when we arrived at our next anchorage near Pericantal  Peter's engine stopped so we decided to continue sailing while the wind was good and sail across El Golfo to Medregal Village.

Yvonne and I prepared Chaser for hauling a few days later.  Click on the link below to see how it's done.
