We're still here in St Georges, Grenada, trying to get to know the place a little better.

We've been here over a week now and had a quiet week, no swimming or snorkeling, but it is a more commercial area so the water is not too inviting.

Yesterday we went to a local kinda coffee morning above one of the major chandlers. It's organised by cruisers, for cruisers, with the usual charity appeal, coffee and biscuits etc. It's advertised over the VHF cruisers net, and is basically a bookswop and DVD swop, and a good place to meet other cruising folk. Non, grabbed few books and I some DVD's and took a ride over. I think we won out of the swop, at least I did with the DVD's.

Its been nice though to walk around the 'City' I suppose one calls the Countries made town the City, although it's not much bigger than Moraira.

Yvonne and me stroll through the streets and check out the shops and markets. The fruit and veg markets are a haven on activity, it's full or large piles of fruits, covered by large colourfull umbrellas and attended by large colourfull black ladies selling their wares.

We do enjoy traveling around and seeing the different sights, but I must admit I still like to watch the TV sometimes in the evening, after dinner with a rum and coke and a good film.

Luckily, in town, we came across a DVD shop, with a board outside saying DVD's 10EC$ or 3 for 20EC$, couldn't resist that so we made our way inside, up a small stairway and into the shop, with all the DVD's and posters as you'd see in any BlockBuster Video Store. The woman behind the counter asked what film we wanted, I gave her a small list, and she passed it on to the coolest lookin' dude you ever seen. Straight from the movies, a pimp lookin' baggy arsed trousered, lad, with the shades, the back to front baseball cap, big T shirt and goldish medallion. He had it all, even the cool dude walk.He keyed in the films into his PC and 15 minutes out popped the films. We had to do without the colourfull casings although we could have had them for an extra 5 EC, but they only take up room.

I gave the woman the 40EC$ about 12 Euros for the 6 movies and away we went. Of course anytime I buy software or movies from this type of establishment, I always check with the staff that they send a proportion of the takings to Bill Gates or Steven Spielberg for the movies, and they assured me they did.

As you can see from photo 1, part of our DVD collection that are in cases, and when we get tired of the movies we can swop them with other poor cruising souls that need a movie fix.

It's Easter weekend, so there is not too much happening. We have just had a firework display behind us, which we thought maybe the prelude to an interesting evening, but it appears to be another Bible bashing night. Jesus, are these people religious. There are nearly as many Churches as there are Rum shops-------- well, not quite that many, but there is lot. So we just put on 'The Man Who Sues God' movie at full volume, we may follow up with the 'Life of Brian' just to drown out the Gospel singing.

God knows what goes on tomorrow Easter Sunday or Monday, I've not seen any Easter Eggs for sale. Maybe the 6th day Pentecostal Adventist Witnesses will have a prayer in, or something.

We have a couple of jobs to do on Chaser over the weekend, that'll keep us busy for a while, and there are a couple of bars nearby we want to check out too. Tuesday is also a holiday, the Prime Minister has given the country a day off because West Indies are playing at home in the World Cup Cricket. How bads that, we may even go along and watch.

Time now to have a little snack so I'll try and get some more info and photos on the blog over the weekend, although I have lost my connexion at the moment, hope it comes up tomorrow.
