Finished the covers, our new dinghies arrived, the four of us made the cover for Waylanders, now we spend  another day and a half building the cover for ours. So off we go to try the boats and have a run through the new village near  the marina. This really is a beautiful  area, not really representative of the rest of the marina surroundings. It's like a little Venice, canals running in and out from one street to another, quite stunning. At the far end is a good shopping mall, more expensive than downtown Puerto la Cruz but we can go by dinghy rather than a cab.

Tony and Chris are very pleased with their new rig, it is a little faster than ours of course because we have the extra weight of our lovely storage box. Still, Tony and Chris eat a lot more than we do, I reckon in a couple a months their boat might slow down a bit.

Last night the 4 of us had a barbeque at the restaurant here in the marina, it is closed Saturday and Sunday, so anyone can use the BBQ. We took a bag of carbon, couple of steaks, salad wine and beer. We had a good evening overlooking the waterfront planning our inland adventure.
