Well the sun has risen on our last morning in the Atlantic Ocean, we are
currently at 14.11.93N 59.17.29W we will be passing between Martinique and
St. Lucia into the Caribbean around Midnight local time 4am Friday UTC. Its
only 4 miles or so to Rodney Bay and the finish line.
Its been a fantastic trip with all its ups and downs (literally)., but we
are looking forward to a rum punch or two and a calm and full nights sleep.
Yvonne says we'll probably get up at 3am, put a lifejacket on and go out on
deck on watch.
The ARC organizes many events for the arrivals, and we'll meet our new
friends and no doubt exchange experiences over a drink or two, but during the
next week I'll try to attach some photos on the daily log to show our routine
etc.
Today we have one or two jobs to do to Chaser and ourselves in preparation
for our arrival. Then we can relax for a few more hours until we sight land
after 2700 miles.
There is a sailing boat in front of us, don't know who yet, it may be an
ARC boat, strange after all those miles, all boats having different speeds and
courses, and we cross the line together more or less.
I hope the blog has been interesting for all our friends and family, there
maybe not so much input after the next few days, but I will continue on
depicting our adventures during the coming months while we cruise Grenada
Trinidad, Tobago, Venezuela and beyond.
