We're still here in Margarita; here are a couple of
photos of our 'cruiser' get together on the 'beach' outside Juans 'Marina' on
Christmas Day . I use inverted commas because anyone who knows the area
will realise there is not a beach here and the marina of Juans is a shed with no
boats, just a dock that looks far more attractive at sunset. Anyway, we had a
good afternoon/evening, with some good barbequed food and drinks before making
our way back to Chaser for an Christmas evening rum and coke in
the cockpit.
Many people have left here in Margarita for places
North or West, there are still about 70 boats here at anchor, one or two we've
met before on our travels. We'll stay here for a few more days before moving
round to the other side of the Island where we'll wait for Rob and Berny to
arrive on the 13th Jan. Depending on the weather we'll sail off somewhere more
attractive for them to enjoy, swim, snorkel etc before returning to Puerto de la
Cruz and Margarita.
