No chance of falling asleep on watch last night. There were a lot of squalls, we dodged most of them but a couple were quite exhilarating to say the least. It felt like we were surfing down rapids in a canoe, as long as you held tight and kept going straight you were ok. We  were do 9 knots through the water (not surfing) got a little wet with the rain but soon dried out. After sunrise much the same continued but it's all calmed down now, we had some spectacular rainbows. Our position at 1200 UTC today is 14.20.30N 54.09.00W

Yesterday we had a whale stalking us for a couple of hours or so, he would be about 50 metres behind just lurking in a wave, then he'd catch up a little pull alongside then dive deep and go under the boat and return to our stern. I think it was a Minkie whale only about 8 metres long, just don't want him hitting our rudder.

A few flying fish on deck this morning, not enough for breakfast.

We've less than 400 miles to go now, if we can keep up our average, we'll get in Friday morning, after daybreak. We could be before but the forecast is for light winds. It's funny, we've had strong winds and rough seas for two weeks, longing for some calm seas and lower winds, after having that for 8 hours we look at each other and say 'Borrr-ringggg!
