Day 4 - Strait of Messina

It was nice to enjoy breakfast together. To start the day Chri prepared a little suprise for the crew. In her new role as CFO she hid the four flags, drawn on a piece of paper, on deck and the crew made an easter egg hunt to find them in order to set the flags after. We left the anchor spot to reach the strait of Messina with decreasing tide. Fede set the fishing silk and decided to clean the boat inside. Cori and Fede transfered the boat from the outside to a beauty saloon while Marco was doing his german exercises. Afterwards Cori and Fede also cleaned the boatdeck. Chri was having a watch out at that time and watched some huge storm clouds over the mainland. For Lunch we ate Caponata with e Wurst/Chäsplättli - a dish representing the crew: Italia and Switzerland. To pass the Strait of Messina has been a first to Cori, Fede and Chri. Cori squeezed her finger by pulling the genoa in. It turned blue and got swollen - aiiii! To celebrate that it was nothing serious we went over to an apero (cooling the finger with a cold drink), while watching the sunset. For dinner Marco spoiled us with a fantastic Pasta alla norma. Shifts went on as of the evening and we went more down south. Ps: still no fish on the fishing silk today.
