This is it. After long days of preparation under the hot Caribbean sun, the boat and her 6 crewmembers left Sint Maarten for the open sea, heading towards Bermuda.

At 12PM local time, Avventura crossed the line marking the start of the 2023 ARC Europe Rally. The fleet of boats set sail, with the hills of the island in their wake, and days of uninterrupted sailing in front of their bows.

Avventura has now begun her journey of coming home and, in what can be seen as a final goodbye to the Caribbean, a group of dolphins swam alongside us for a short while.

The spirits are high and we will soon enjoy our first sunset at sea.
