Day 1 - Departure for (maybe) final leg

A big project may come to an end. It is time to board again for the next leg bringing Avventura home. After flying in friday night and a rather long transfer from the airport, we had a quiet night on board.
The day started with a surprise. After waking up we found out that there was another member aboard: a cat. We decided we are happy with the initial crew so we sadly told her not to come with us for the (maybe) final leg. But first about the crew: there are Marco, Corinne (Cori), Federica (Fede) and Christine (Chri) on board. After breakfast Cori and Fede went for provision, Marco and Chri prepared the boat, since it is Chri's fist time on Avventura. After eating Culurgiones at a local restaurant (and of course some gelato) we went for a refreshing shower before leaving Marina Santa Maria Navarrese. Out of the marina we set sail in direction to le isole lipari (Eolien Islands). Sunsets are the best at sea, but even better on Avventura and with such a lovely and fun crew. After planning the shifts, we had aperitivo and Chri prepared a salad with a Wurscht-Chäs-Plättli (variation of Meat and Cheese, served on a cutting board). At some point we had to take down the sail, start the engine and prepare for the night. The night was pretty calm, hardly wind, no waves but a clear sky with shooting stars above us.
