End of the adventure

After a few days moored in Caneel Bay, St. John, USVI, we motored around to Crown Bay Marina. James opted to avoid the narrow cut and go around the headland - mistake! We motored into a 25kn wind and 4m seas, shipping white water over the bow. Only lasted 10 minutes and the rest of the two hour journey was OK, but not a good last trip. We arrived at the busy marina adjacent to the commercial docks in Charlotte Amalie, St Thomas, and checked in. At about £1.50 per foot per night is this the most expensive marina in the Caribbean?
Anyway, boat is scrubbed, sails off, gear secured, and by tomorrow will be all ready to be lifted and shipped back to the UK.

And so our two year adventure has come to an end and this is probably the last posting we will make.
We have seen stunning locations, been kissed by the sun, caressed by the wind, and rocked by the seas. We have been privileged to meet lovely people, both locals and cruisers, and to view spectacular wildlife and vegetation. And we have been fortunate to stay in good health and remain safe. The journey might be over, but we have memories that will live with us forever.

Thank you for following us and for the positive comments we have received.

Good sailing and take care.
