If only all days could be like this!
Lentil soup last night for dinner (thanks Andrej), and the wind generally
held up, allowing speeds from 4.5 to 7.2 knots. Dawn broke fine, and we
have been blessed with a sunny day with fine winds. We took an early
decision not to fly kites, but to have a stress free day before the expected
increase in winds. So we have been broad reaching, or latterly running
under poled out genoa at speeds consistently over 6 knots, and currently
reaching 8.5 knots.
Pasta for lunch, dinner in the oven, a couple of beers out of the ice box
in the fridge, a dolphin visit, Nadine, Doug and Andrej playing Catan, all is
well with the world.
Only two minor negatives – we have not caught a fish today, so meals are
strictly vegetarian, and our mysterious leak has reappeared; not serious, just
needs daily attention.
