We left the Pitons at 07.00 in convoy with ‘Limin Time’, and initially motored in no wind,  After an hour the wind filled in from the north east and we sailed until we came into the lee of St Vincent.  The two boats were pretty well matched for speed so we stayed within 50m of each other the whole way.  After motoring until we hit the Bequia channel the wind came in from the south, and we had a close reach to Bequia in 15kn of wind.  True Colours held full main and a reefed genoa, while ‘Limin Time’ took things easier under main alone, using engine to maintain position with us.

Arrived Bequia at 2.45, on the way in having our photo taken by Kenmore of Photoaction Bequia (which we subsequently bought), picked up moorings with the help boat boys, cleared in, and then went ashore for a meal at the Fig Tree.  The owner of Fig Tree also runs the local net, and hearing we had a dinghy and engine for sale (our old ones), she said “don’t put that on the net, I’ll buy them” – which she duly did yesterday after we had taken it ashore, pumped it up, and started the engine.  She plans to use it to run a meal delivery service to visiting yachts.

Looked around a little yesterday; shopped at Doris’ Fresh Food Shop – amazing selection, we were able to but Branston Pickle and Pesto Sauce, neither of which we had found at any of the other islands we had visited.

Current plans are to stay here for a few days, then decide whether we go north or south.
