Great trip from Marigot Bay to Bequia. Left at 06.15, arrived Beguia 15.00. Trip log read 61.1 Nm. Opposite the Pitons there were literally thousands of flying fish, just small ones. Two birds joined us and had a good breakfast. One flying fish landed on the deck, and Rosemary took pity and threw it back; its wings were the size of penny pieces, and thin like gossamer. They manage to fly for up to 50m, just skimming the surface.
We saw winds from 4 to 22 kn, motored some of the way, but sailed most, under full sail. James enjoyed the last few miles, close reaching in 15kn, with waves on the quarter giving some surfing if you caught them right; max boat speed on the log 9.3kn.
We arrived and were met by "Blue Sky" (Dennis) who took us to a mooring. We both had a swim, and then are eating on shore.
Will post some pictures.
