Chilling out

Just chilling out, as we move closer to the end of our adventure.
Big swells in Cane Garden Bay last weekend; so much so that there were people surfing in the waves where they broke over the reefs, and James, fearing for the safety of our dinghy at the dock, returned it to the boat and swam to and from the shore - probably wisely; we saw one dinghy punctured and during the evening the painter securing rail on the dock broke off, presumably taking at least one dinghy with it
Another visit to Little Jost Van Dyke (notable for meeting with a party of Americans, two just engaged, the proposal made and accepted after a canoe ride to Sandy Spit), then on to Great Harbour JVD. Walked across to White Bay, "the best beach in the BVI". Sheltered behind reefs, it is shallow - lots of catamarans at moorings but we decided not to take True Colours in there. Great swimming, free beach chairs and good burgers at 'Ivan's Stress Free Bar' - adjacent to the better known 'Soggy Dollar Bar' where the easiest way ashore is to swim, hence the soggy dollar.
Today (Friday) we returned to Cane Garden Bay to meet up with Ian and Gerry on Spray, only to find them planning to sail across to see us; since the swell (and surfers) had returned to CGB we retraced our path to Great Harbour.
