Monday we sailed back to Soper's Hole - under Genoa only we recorded 7.98 kn. Walked to the laundry and back three times (check it out, take and fetch laundry, each return journey probably 2 miles; our exercise for the day!
Tuesday we went to America - the USVI that is (the only US territory where they drive on the correct side of the road) - to collect our visas so that we can sail there later. Ferry took us to St John and then to St Thomas where we visited a chandlery (new deck shoes for James and USVI courtesy flag), and then after visiting a marina (price $1.80 per foot per day - we will be using mooring buoys wherever possible! ). We set up camp at an Irish restaurant for lunch (indifferent) and several drinks and with interesting wildlife around. Then it was time to leave the US and return. Slight hiccup on return, the ferry company had taken the forms we need when we finally leave the BVI, but the very friendly immigration people soon sorted that out by issuing us with new forms.
We have decided to stay where we are for a couple more days, and do some exploring by land.
