So we have come out the other side of the evening, with a beautiful sunrise. We are currently sat in 15 knots of breeze and a nice small swell. We are thinking about popping a reef or two out soon. Rig checks are done and good. Rudder checks have been completed and all are looking good. We checked the engine out and all is good, except we have no gearbox oil... except for a bit in the bilges!! This shouldn't prove a difficulty or hindrance as we are relying on the hydro generator for power, and with downwind sailing the whole way! The only time it will be useful is when we arrive in las palmas, for the short trip through the marina and to our berth... for this we are currently trying to organise a tow.

Apart from that, nice sunny smooth sailing is due for the next few days!
